First off you need to download the default texture:
Default.brt
I would rename it to !Default.brt, Tripod won't let me
have an ! in a filename. Now for installation. Go into the DTE.
Click on the
Texture Library Button button and then click
on Import at the bottom of the window. Navigate and select the
texture from where you downloaded it to. I would put the new
texture in the User folder. Now the texture should be installed.
To select it in the Mat Lab, click on the textures name and
it should bring up a list of all of the texture sections. Choose
User and it should be the 1st one on the list because of the
! in the name. The Default texture has all of the values set
off and to 0 and the frequencies to 100. This allows me to talk
about a lot less to make sure your texture is correct and it
is also easier to begin creating textures with this.
